The biggest upset of the week belonged to Pen Argyl, who defeated 83rd ranked Pen Argyl, 46-21. J.D. Donnelly threw for 55 yards and ran for 142 yards in the win.
Bangor's Phil Vass rumbled for the longest rushing play in Colonial this season in his game against Saucon Valley last week. Vass scampered for 85 yards on the play and finished with 108 on the day as his team fell to the Panthers.
Saucon Valley's dynamic duo of Keith Mosher and Andrei Gausling proved to be unstoppable against Bangor, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Mosher threw for 101 yards and Gausling had 67 yards receiving.
Matt Evancho's team's dynamic duo of Mosher and Gausling proved tough for Donnie Hawk's team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Donnelly provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Palisades topped the Green Knights.
Mosher put up the best numbers through the air as the Panthers beat the Slaters.
Gausling was the best wideout in the league this week as Saucon Valley bested Bangor.
Donnelly was the most successful running back in the league this week. Teammate Christian Gretzinger added to the ground attack by rushing for 88 yards.
6-foot-1 quarterback Travis Edmond of Southern Lehigh is the league leader in passing yards this season with 201. He has also thrown 3 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Javante Tooley. The Wilson Area star has 5 catches for 110 yards.
Next week's game between the Spartans and the Slaters will feature an aerial matchup as Edmond tests his arm against Jryi Davis's defensive ability.
The Pirates are in first place, while Catasauqua is in third place.
The Panthers were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to fifth in Colonial. Earlier in the week, Saucon Valley triumphed over Bangor 24-14.
