This season hasn't been kind to the Swansea Tigers, who are still winless after their 18th matchup. They were beaten by Gilbert 69-41 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Swansea has suffered since December 27, 2023.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Donnell Goodwin, who scored 17 points. Michael Murphy was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Swansea's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Gilbert, their win ended a eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Swansea will square off against Dreher at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Gilbert, they will head out on the road to take on Orangeburg-Wilkinson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Orangeburg-Wilkinson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 last Tuesday.
