The Forest Park Bruins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Freedom, falling 49-16. Forest Park has struggled against the Eagles recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Keilani Johnson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Freedom, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten steals. Johnson hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Emajah Wright, who scored five points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Forest Park dropped their record down to 1-17 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.4 points per game. As for Freedom, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.
Coincidentally, Forest Park and the Eagles will both be playing the Panthers the next time they take the court. Freedom will host Potomac Senior at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Forest Park will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
