The Elgin Wildcats fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 50-39 win over Bastrop on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Elgin, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Jaylan Roberson had a dynamite game for Elgin, dropping a triple-double on 23 points, ten rebounds, and ten steals. Roberson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Martinez, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Elgin is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-21 record this season. As for Bastrop, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-21.
Elgin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bastrop also has no future games currently scheduled.
