It was a good run, but the Scott Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to Fleming County 76-70. While losing is never fun, Scott can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while Fleming County is ranked 14th).
Despite the loss, Scott still got an impressive performance from Dylan Giffen, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 0 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Griffin, who scored 14 points.
Scott's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Fleming County, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Scott will head out on the road to face off against St. Henry at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fleming County, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Bath County at 7:30 p.m. Bath County comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
