The Jefferson Christian Academy Cardinals 's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 85-32 defeat at the hands of Narrows. While losing is never fun, Jefferson Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 270th, while Narrows is ranked 31st).
Kolier Pruett was on fire for Narrows: he dropped a double-double on 33 points and 11 rebounds. Cooper Helvey was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Jefferson Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Narrows, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Jefferson Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Narrows won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against James Monroe at 4:30 p.m. on December 9th. Hopefully James Monroe focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
