Milan is 7-0 against Maysville since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Milan Wildcats have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Maysville Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Milan came up short against Polo and fell 43-30. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Milan has scored all season.
Milan's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Marian Dabney, who scored 14 points along with three steals, and Emerson Pauley who scored ten points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Maysville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by South Harrison at home and fell 59-19. While losing is never fun, Maysville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 410th, while South Harrison is ranked 201st).
Milan's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Maysville, they bumped their record down to 1-4 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for Milan against Maysville in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 60-20 victory. Does Milan have another victory up their sleeve, or will Maysville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
