Mount Miguel waltzed into Thursday's game with two straight wins but they left with three. They really took it to Granite Hills for the full four quarters, racking up a 90-58 win at home. Fans of Mount Miguel have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Mount Miguel's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mekhi Sydney, who scored 26 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Sydney has scored at least 25% of Mount Miguel's points. Another player making a difference was Thaddeus Boudreaux, who scored 20 points.
Meanwhile, the matchup between Canyon Hills and Morse on Tuesday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. Canyon Hills strolled past Morse with points to spare, taking the game 62-44.
Their wins bumped Mount Miguel to 3-0 and Granite Hills to 1-1.
