Glen Lake is 10-0 against Onekama since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Glen Lake Lakers will head out on the road to square off against the Onekama Portagers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
In what's become a running theme this season, Glen Lake gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past Leland, posting a 70-25 win at home. Given Glen Lake's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 150th, while Leland is ranked 688th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Glen Lake found their leader in underclassman Jacob Plamondon, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Plamondon is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Colebrook Sutherland was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, Onekama strolled past Suttons Bay with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 64-50.
Glen Lake has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Onekama, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.
Glen Lake strolled past Onekama in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 51-35. Will Glen Lake repeat their success, or does Onekama have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
