Two dominant receivers in Exzavior Oliver and Dashaun Benton are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Grand Terrace Titans will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Eisenhower Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Grand Terrace will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 434th, while Eisenhower is ranked 159th).
Last Friday, Grand Terrace lost to Jurupa Hills at home by a decisive 35-20 margin. Grand Terrace has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Grand Terrace got a solid performance out of Oliver, who picked up 141 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Eisenhower beat Summit 31-22 on Friday. Eisenhower's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Benton went supernova for Eisenhower, picking up 103 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 165 yards. Another player making a difference was Jacoby Pointer-Caldwell, who picked up 94 receiving yards and a touchdown.
The opposite results left the teams with opposite records: Jurupa Hills' win pushed their record up to 4-5, while Grand Terrace's defeat dropped theirs down to 5-4.
Grand Terrace beat Eisenhower 14-6 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Does Grand Terrace have another victory up their sleeve, or will Eisenhower turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
