Hillsborough has been on the road for six straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Sparta Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hillsborough is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sparta in New Jersey (Hillsborough is ranked 16th, while Sparta is ranked 203rd).
Hillsborough fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Caldwell on Sunday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 52-51 to the Chiefs.
Philip Unangst put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Nicholas Losch, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, even though Jefferson Township scored an imposing 57 points on Saturday, Sparta still came out on top. Sparta walked away with a 65-57 win over Jefferson Township. The win made it back-to-back wins for Sparta.
Hillsborough's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2. As for Sparta, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
