Knightstown had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Muncie Burris Owls by a score of  8-4. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Owls recently, as the game was their third consecutive  victory against them.
 Andrew Buchanan looked comfortable as he  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit.
 At the plate,  Jackson Daves was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and one  triple. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kelton Weaver, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Knightstown will venture away from home to  square off against Union City  at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. This will  be the Panthers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Muncie Burris, they will challenge Northeastern at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
