Softball Recap: Napavine Snags Seventh Win in Last Nine Games

While Napavine's win against Toutle Lake wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers skirted past the Ducks 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted against the Ducks since May 18, 2017.

Hannah Fay spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on nine hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Grace Pancake, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Clara Fay, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Napavine has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Toutle Lake, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-6.
