Canton had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They strolled past the Pollok Central Bulldogs with points to spare, taking the game 52-38. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 490th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Canton is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. As for Pollok Central, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-6.

Canton and Glen Rose will face off at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Pollok Central, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Zavalla at 11:00 a.m.
