 Norwich Free Academy  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westerly only posted  an  OBP of  .250.
Norwich Free Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Westerly, their loss was  their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 5-4.
 Looking ahead, Norwich Free Academy will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Ledyard  at 4:15  p.m. The Colonels will roll in looking for their  seventh straight  win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Westerly, they will challenge Smithfield at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Sentinels have averaged an impressive 7.8  runs per game this season.
