Buena has gone 9-1 against Desert View recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Colts are taking a road trip to take on the Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. Buena will be strutting in after a win while Desert View will be coming in after a loss.
Buena proved they can win big on Monday (they won by three) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Pueblo, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Colts have posted since August 30th.
Buena got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 30-28, 21-25, 25-22, 21-25, 15-5.

Cassandra Comolli and Mariana Bowers were among the main playmakers for Buena as the former had eight digs and three aces and the latter had 13 digs and seven aces. What's more, Comolli racked up 16 assists, the most she's had since back in September. Paige Goodman also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
They weren't the only good servers: Buena was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 23 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 26 consecutive matches dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Desert View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to Pueblo.
Desert View started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-19, 25-14, 25-18.
Desert View's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Buena, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season.
Buena took their win against Desert View in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colts since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
