The Bridgeport Bearcats can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They strolled past Nouvel Catholic Central with points to spare, taking the game 47-32. The victory was just what Bridgeport needed coming off of a 71-24 loss in their prior contest.
Kimora Ellis continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 38 points and 20 rebounds. The matchup was her fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Shania Davis, who scored six points along with seven steals and five assists.
Bridgeport's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Nouvel Catholic Central, they bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Bridgeport will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Communication Media Arts at 10:45 a.m. on January 2, 2024. Communication Media Arts' defense has only allowed 13 points per game this season, so Bridgeport's offense will have their work cut out for Bridgeport. As for Nouvel Catholic Central, they will play host again and welcome Swan Valley, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Swan Valley comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
