Basketball Recap: Franklin Learning Center Beats Masterman for Their Second Straight Win

Masterman came into Monday's match looking for another win against Franklin Learning Center, but Kadeem Martin wouldn't allow it. The Franklin Learning Center Bobcats snuck past Masterman with a 49-43 victory on Monday thanks in part to Martin, who went 8 of 16 on his way to 19 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jimmie Greeno, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 11 points and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

Despite the loss, Masterman still got an impressive performance from Raj Chaudhury, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. Demetrius Gallier-Howard was another key player, putting up seven points and six rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Franklin Learning Center and bumps their season record up to 5-1. As for Masterman, they dropped their record down to 2-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Franklin Learning Center wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 58-49 victory against Science Leadership Academy on the 19th. As for Masterman, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-42 loss against Bodine on the 17th.
