After flying high against Maine Central Institute  last Friday, Maranacook came back down to earth. The Black Bears were beaten by the Winthrop Ramblers 41-6 on Friday. The Black Bears were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Maranacook dropped their record down to 2-6 with the  loss, which was their sixth straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Winthrop, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.
As of now, neither Maranacook nor the Ramblers have any future games scheduled.
