Farmersville moved up to 876 from 925 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in East Sierra. The Aztecs climbed the ranks as a result of topping Laton 49-7.
Farmersville led the league in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on the Mustangs.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when Laton and McFarland face off next week. SANTOS SANCHEZ has dominated opposing QBs with a total of two sacks, while Lalo Perez has 411 passing yards and six touchdowns on the season.
A big matchup in East Sierra this week will be when Orosi takes on Orange Cove. The Cardinals are in first place, while the Titans are in third place.
David Lewis' team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,060 from 12,860. The improvement was the result of 49-7 victory over Frankie Rosa's team last week.
