The Spiro Bulldogs will look to take advantage of their home-field for the first time this season as they take on the Pocola Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Spiro is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after opening their season on the road. They received a blow on Thursday as they fell 40-21 to Panama.
Despite the loss, Spiro had strong showings from Hayden Reed, who gained 183 total yards, and Brycen Graham, who threw for 225 yards and two touchdowns. Reed got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 80 yards.
Meanwhile, Pocola took care of business in their home opener last Friday (and then some). They put the hurt on Antlers with a sharp 54-28 victory.
Pocola's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaseir Posey led the charge by throwing for 300 yards and five touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 54 yards on only seven carries.
