There's no place like home for Oak Park-River Forest, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Proviso West Panthers on Friday as they made off with a 16-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Oak Park-River Forest let Anna Topel and Charlie Terry run wild. Topel went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles, while Terry went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI Topel has posted since back in April of 2024. Avery Lane was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Oak Park-River Forest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .812. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Oak Park-River Forest is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Proviso West, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.
