The Providence Grove Patriots''s three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 14-12 win over Wheatmore. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Providence Grove also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Providence Grove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Logan Fox, who rushed for 179 yards and a touchdown.
Providence Grove's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Wheatmore, their defeat was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-8.
Providence Grove will head out on the road to face off against East Surry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wheatmore does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
