Eaton waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They never let the Basalt Longhorns get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Reds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 games by six runs or more this season.

Eaton got a great performance from Austin Edelmon as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Edelmon has posted since back in March of 2025.

At the plate, Peyton Pettinger and Brayden Legler did most of the damage at the plate: Pettinger went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Legler went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two runs gave Pettinger a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tito Lopez, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Eaton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Basalt only posted a batting average of .125.

Eaton's win bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Basalt, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.

Eaton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Basalt, they will host Olathe at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Longhorns' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season.
