Central Gwinnett had a senior duo take command as Timothy Smith scored 20 points and Donte Golden scored five points along with nine rebounds and seven assists. That's the first time this season that Golden pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Malik Rideout, who scored six points along with two steals and two blocks.
Central Gwinnett's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Mountain View, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.
Central Gwinnett will head out on the road to challenge Mill Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mountain View won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Brookwood at 12:00 p.m. on January 20th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Brookwood is ranked 96th, while Mountain View is ranked 94th).
