The Waggener Wildcats on the road again on Tuesday and play against the Jeffersontown Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Waggener suffered their biggest defeat yet this season last Friday. They were outmatched by Fern Creek on the road and fell 79-46.
Meanwhile, Jeffersontown's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 49-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Beth Haven. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Jeffersontown has scored all season.
Waggener bumped their record down to 5-8 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Jeffersontown, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-10.
Waggener lost to Jeffersontown on the road by a decisive 80-63 margin in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Waggener avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
