The Gervais Cougars will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Toledo Boomers at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Gervais had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.2 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. Everything went their way against Blanchet Catholic as Gervais made off with a 38-15 win.
Meanwhile, Toledo humbled Corbett with a 45-6 victory. The win was just what Toledo needed coming off of a 56-14 defeat in their prior game.
Gervais' victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 40.67 points. As for Toledo, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
