Softball Recap: Potomac Senior Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

Potomac Senior won the last time they faced Freedom and things went their way on Friday too. The Panthers never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won three contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Mia Dunn was incredible, going 2-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Jeanette Thompson, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Potomac Senior and bumps their season record up to 3-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Freedom, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Potomac Senior will take on rival Forest Park at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Freedom is set to challenge their familiar foe Hylton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
