The Creekside Knights put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 63-50 victory over Bishop Kenny. Given Creekside's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Bishop Kenny is ranked 298th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Creekside's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alex Collier, who scored 16 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. The game was Collier's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Nelson, who scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals.
Creekside's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Bishop Kenny, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Creekside will take on Atlantic Coast at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Atlantic Coast comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Bishop Kenny won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Westside at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. Westside is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
