The South View Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Harnett Central Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South View will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
South View is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Seventy-First.
South View had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 26-28, 25-15, 25-9, 25-19.
South View found their leader in sophomore Aliya Hall, who had 19 kills.
South View was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 30 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since the start of last season.
Meanwhile, Harnett Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-match winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to Union Pines. Considering the last time the Trojans couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.
While Harnett Central had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22, 25-19.
South View will have to contain Allie Williams as she made an impact in Harnett Central's last game. She had seven digs and two aces.
Harnett Central's defeat dropped their record down to 21-4. As for South View, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.
South View couldn't quite get it done against Harnett Central in their previous matchup back in September of 2021 as they fell 3-1. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
