The activity and suspense from early signing day has wrapped up and Nebraska can lay claim to 20 recruits who signed an FCS or FBS National Letter of Intent. Two other athletes signed the paperwork to walk-on at the University of Nebraska. In all, five of Nebraska's finest prep football players have officially joined Husker Nation as players.
According to 247Sports.com, Omaha Central's Deshawn Woods and Will Hubert of Papillion-LaVista are commited to Missouri and Iowa respectively - Woods as a scholarship athlete and Hubert as a preferred walk-on. However, neither had signed with their teams as of Friday morning.
Below we take a look at the Cornhusker State's Top 10 Division I prospects, how 247Sports ranked them and where they ended up. We are also displaying where the select athletes ended up on the Omaha World Herald's All-Nebraska and All-State teams and what kind of numbers they put up according to MaxPreps' Statistics Database.
We could not find statistics for Woods and Columbus Scotus tight end Garrett Oakley's statistics were pulled from Kansas State's Signing Day Page. We were going to include the Lincoln Journal Star's All-State Selections as well, but they hadn't been published yet.
