Ypsilanti is 8-2 against Adrian since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Ypsilanti Grizzlies are on the road again and plays the Adrian Maples at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Ypsilanti had to suffer through a rough 75-35 loss at the hands of Tecumseh. Ypsilanti has not had much luck with Tecumseh recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Ypsilanti's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Rochelle Robinson, who scored 11 points, and Mia Jemsion who scored four points.
Meanwhile, Adrian took a serious blow against Tecumseh on Friday, falling 63-32. While losing is never fun, Adrian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 357th, while Tecumseh is ranked 35th).
Ypsilanti has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season. As for Adrian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
Ypsilanti was able to grind out a solid victory over Adrian when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 51-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ypsilanti since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
