The Falcon Falcons had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.6 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They took down Elizabeth 75-59. Given Falcon's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while Elizabeth is ranked 252nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Falcon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eric Graham, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. Graham is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Christian Bertholf was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 13 rebounds.
Elizabeth's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Stone, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Diessen Lindsay, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Even though they lost, Elizabeth were working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. This was only their ninth loss (out of 12 games) when they've passed the ball that well.
Falcon's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Elizabeth, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
