The Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers won the last time they faced the Travelers Rest Devildogs, and things went their way on Thursday too. Blue Ridge took down Travelers Rest 52-34. Given Blue Ridge's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Travelers Rest is ranked 138th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Zikira henderson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals. She hasn't dropped below 17 points for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Anyah Henderson, who scored nine points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Travelers Rest lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ellie Crain, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Gabriella Huskey was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Blue Ridge has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. As for Travelers Rest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-14.
