It was a good run, but the Morgan Township Cherokees unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 46-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hebron. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Morgan Township has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Morgan Township lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jaiden Spratley. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Keagen Holder, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Morgan Township's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Hebron, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1.
Morgan Township's road trip will continue as they head out to face South Central at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st. South Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 361st, while Morgan Township is ranked 141st). As for Hebron, they will be playing at home against Rensselaer Central at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
