The Hialeah-Miami Lakes Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 50-20 loss at the hands of Mater Academy Charter. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hialeah-Miami Lakes in their matchups with Mater Academy Charter: they've now lost six in a row.
Mater Academy Charter was led to victory by Solomon Leinbock and Sebastian Tello. Leinbock scored 12 points, while Tello scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jan Alicea, who scored 11 points.
Hialeah-Miami Lakes' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mater Academy Charter, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.
Hialeah-Miami Lakes is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Hialeah at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. As for Mater Academy Charter, they will play host again and welcome Sports Leadership & Management, where tip off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
