The Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Fivay 60-32 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Brecksville-Broadview Heights has managed all season.
Despite the loss, Fivay still got an impressive performance from Orvill Ortiz, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds. Ortiz has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played.
Brecksville-Broadview Heights' win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Fivay, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brecksville-Broadview Heights will square off against North Royalton at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. North Royalton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 135th, while Brecksville-Broadview Heights is ranked 36th). Fivay won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Nature Coast Tech on December 28th.
