Bonanza is 8-2 against Clark since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Bengals will host the Chargers at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Bonanza will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Mater Academy East Las Vegas on Friday. The Bengals blew past the Knights 12-2. Considering the Bengals' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Dallas Sirikhan was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Jacob Santistevan was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Bonanza's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 8-17 when he doesn't). Dillon Owens was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Bonanza was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .517. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Clark entered their tilt with Western on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Warriors get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.
Nicholas Maffey looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Bryan Humes, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Hernandez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Clark's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-12. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bonanza, their victory bumped their record up to 12-17.
Bonanza beat Clark 10-5 when the teams last played back in March. Will the Bengals repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
