Rock Falls is 1-6 against Rockridge since May of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. Rock Falls will host Rockridge at 10:00 a.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Rock Falls' pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Lutheran 13-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rockets.
Zoey Silva made a splash while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maddison Morgan, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Korah Hosler was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Rockridge came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Tigers.
Like Rock Falls, Rockridge also got a great game from a two-way player: Taylor Dieterich. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. Dieterich was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, Estellah Bognar was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Charley Perkins, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Rockridge's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Rock Falls, their victory bumped their record up to 3-8.
Rock Falls suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to Rockridge when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Rock Falls avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
