This season hasn't been kind to the Rainier Christian Mustangs, who are still winless after their sixth game. They were beaten by Auburn Adventist 75-31 on Thursday. Rainier Christian has struggled against Auburn Adventist recently, as their game on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Auburn Adventist got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jake Hoffman out in front who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Hoffman grabbed two or more steals. Kai Brooks was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Rainier Christian bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Auburn Adventist, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.
Rainier Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sound Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Auburn Adventist on the road again on Saturday and play against Cascade Christian at 8:00 p.m. on January 13th. Cascade Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
