Basketball Recap: Zoey Deal's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Naaman Forest over Creekview

If Naaman Forest was feeling good fresh off their 61-33 takedown of Lebanon Trail last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rangers lost 61-37 to the Creekview Mustangs on Friday. The contest marked the Rangers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Naaman Forest lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Zoey Deal, who posted ten points and eight rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Kennedy Minor also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

Naaman Forest's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-3. As for Creekview, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Naaman Forest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 49-45 win against Dunbar on the 24th. As for Creekview, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-19 victory against Hillcrest on the 24th.
