After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lee Academy of Science & Engineering, the Dilley Wolves were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 45-44 victory over Charlotte. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Dilley also won the last time the pair played last Friday.
Dilley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alex Ayala, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Ayala has scored at least 25% of Dilley's points. Seth Cano was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Dilley's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Charlotte, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Dilley will take on George West at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. George West is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Charlotte is on the road again on Thursday and play against Danbury at 3:30 p.m. on December 7th.
