Hayes is a perfect 8-0 against Dublin Scioto since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Pacers are taking a road trip to take on the Irish at 5:15 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Hayes sitting on 14 straight wins and Dublin Scioto on five.
If Hayes beats Dublin Scioto with 16 runs on Monday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Pacers beat Westerville South on Thursday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-4. Considering the Pacers have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Hannah McAllister made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Hayes got a massive performance out of Lizzy Gould, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Gould has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Taylor Flynn was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Hayes always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .611. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westerville South only posted an OBP of .385.
Meanwhile, Dublin Scioto never let their opponents score on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Westland as they made off with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Irish, who have now won 11 contests by ten runs or more so far this season.
Like Hayes, Dublin Scioto also got a great game from a two-way player: Alexis Richie. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 15 over five innings pitched. Those 15 strikeouts gave Richie a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maria Wasko, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Ella Sawin also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Dublin Scioto pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Hayes, their record now sits at 16-1.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hayes hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .367. However, it's not like Dublin Scioto struggles in that department as they've averaged .410. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Hayes beat Dublin Scioto 5-0 in their previous meeting on April 10th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pacers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
