Softball Recap: Poston Butte Wins Going Away Against Crismon

Poston Butte made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Crismon, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Broncos were the clear victors by a 14-8 margin over the Rattlers on Thursday. The Broncos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matches by six runs or more this season.

Poston Butte got a massive performance out of Jasmine Barrera, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Kimberly Westover was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Poston Butte was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They are 13-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Poston Butte's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Crismon, they moved to 15-7 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Poston Butte will head out to challenge ALA - Queen Creek at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crismon, they will be playing at home against Central at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Rattlers are facing the Bobcats at the right time seeing as the Bobcats are stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
