After flying high against Wayland on Tuesday, the Forest Hills Eastern Hawks came back down to earth. Forest Hills Eastern was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 68-62 to the Christian Eagles. The Hawks' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
The loss dropped the Hawks' record to 11-5. The win makes it two in a row for Christian and bumps their record up to 16-1.
The Hawks are staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against South Christian. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close game. As for Christian, they will face off against Wayland on Tuesday. Christian won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
