Garces Memorial is 7-2 against Centennial since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the Golden Hawks at 7:30 p.m. Garces Memorial is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Garces Memorial is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Righetti 38-6 on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Rams' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 178th, while the Warriors are ranked 592nd).

Garces Memorial's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mark Gomez led the charge by throwing for 229 yards and four touchdowns on only 18 passes. Daniel Newsome helped Gomez out on the ground, rushing for 74 yards and one score on only seven carries.

Another reason for the win was Garces Memorial's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Quinlan Kronfeldt was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. Another thorn in Righetti's side was Cooper Boyd, who picked up a sack and made seven total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Centennial was beaten by St. Joseph 35-7 last Friday.

Garces Memorial's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

It's a different story for Centennial, though, as they've been averaging only 115.4 passing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant passing game?

Garces Memorial was dealt a bruising 56-15 defeat at the hands of Centennial in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Golden Hawks' Jet Santiago, who threw for 254 yards and one TD while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in a pair of touchdowns on the ground.
