Softball Recap: Enumclaw Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

Enumclaw never got on the board in their matchup last Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Beamer on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 21-1 margin over the Titans. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won six games by 11 runs or more so far this season.

Nadia Flaherty was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Flaherty was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alyssa Neal, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Otero, who went 4-for-5 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Enumclaw always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .786. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Enumclaw is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Beamer, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Enumclaw will challenge Decatur at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Gators' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Beamer, they will take on Auburn at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.8 runs per game on average), something the Titans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
