The Cimarron Bluejays will be playing at home against the Holcomb Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Cimarron beat Ulysses 41-31.
In what's become a running theme this season, Holcomb gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They put the hurt on Scott with a sharp 55-29 win. Given Holcomb's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Scott is ranked 133rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Holcomb to victory, but perhaps none more so than Halle Jones, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Jones has scored at least a third of Holcomb's points. Another player making a difference was Jera Kruleski, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Cimarron's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-13. As for Holcomb, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Cimarron was dealt a bruising 61-34 defeat at the hands of Holcomb when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will Cimarron have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
