After a string of three wins, the Warner Wildcats's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 58-42 bruising from The Cambridge School. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Warner in their matchups with The Cambridge School: they've now lost six in a row.
Warner's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anthony Porras, who scored nine points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Antonio Amado, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Warner's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for The Cambridge School, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2.
Warner will head out on the road to take on West Shores at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. West Shores comes in still looking for their first win of the season. The Cambridge School won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Cristo Rey at 4:00 p.m. on January 18th. Cristo Rey is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
