St. Charles North posted their closest win yet this season on Saturday. They had just enough and edged Jacobs out 69-67.
Meanwhile, Palatine didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Buffalo Grove on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 57-51 victory. Given Palatine's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while Buffalo Grove is ranked 345th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
St. Charles North's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Palatine, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
